Extreme Coding: Artificial Intelligence
About our in depth AI class
What is artificial intelligence?
In computer science, artificial intelligence, sometimes called machine intelligence, is intelligence demonstrated by machines, in contrast to the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals. Computers don’t have a brain, like human or animal who have real intelligence and get to think freely. But they can be programmed to mimic that behavior and artificially “think”.
About our class
Dive into more advanced computer science topics that include artificial intelligence. Computers are getting smarter every day due to advances in machine learning algorithms. Coders can teach computers to recognize faces, play games, and find patterns. In our class, we will create a chatbot, Rock, Paper, Scissors game, and more.
After the class
In this course, students were introduced to artificial intelligence. Students coded games and programs that demonstrated the ability of AI.
Parent activity suggestions:
- Have your child describe artificial intelligenc. What is it? How is it used?
- Ask your child about the limitations and strengths of AI. How were these traits reflected in the class? What did they learn?
